Pears are ripening!

When someone typically thinks of autumn, they may think of pumpkins and corn. My favorite ripening food this season is the PEARS!! YUM!

Leaves are falling all around

Its getting colder and darker every day. When I go out to my car in the morning, it is covered in dew. Pretty soon that dew will give way to frost. Ick. Leaves are falling all around. Is it summer again yet?

Windy Day!

I am missing the summer already. Just a month ago when this was taken, this sunflower was at least still showing some signs of life. Now it is blown over in the present windstorm and rotting away from the wet. Today, the wind is so intense it is leaving all the trees pretty bare. The last remaining leaves are being forced to fall. Sad.

In keeping with the rain outside...

A few years ago, when I was still a total go-getter when it came to going out and getting the perfect shot on the perfect day, I got inspired. It was one of those classic rainy Oregon days, when they sky just opened up and started DUMPING. I was driving through the small town of Damascus where there is this cool old pioneer cemetary. I thought to myself it was the perfect time to brave the weather and try to get a shot or 20 out in that cool spot. This is my fave from that day.
