The last posting of my California trip pictures... this is the Feather River Canyon, which is just north of Lake Oroville. We drove along the top of the canyon for quite a ways before dropping down to the river level. Once we got down to the valley floor it was HOT, so we stopped and swam!!!

You're photos are wonderful. My husband is an oil painter and did a painting very similar to your Feather River Canyon photo. It was probably done 20 years ago. I thought it was from memory but it may be from a photo. He doesn't remember but originally from California. If you're interested, I'll send a photo.
