Near my little garden I noticed a cluster of these small white button mushrooms. Every morning, the clouds and mist keep things very moist, just enough for the mushrooms to grow. By noon or so, the clouds have burned off and we have blue skies, but its not really warm enough to dry up the mushrooms.Tuesday, September 15, 2009
Moist Mornings = Mushrooms
Near my little garden I noticed a cluster of these small white button mushrooms. Every morning, the clouds and mist keep things very moist, just enough for the mushrooms to grow. By noon or so, the clouds have burned off and we have blue skies, but its not really warm enough to dry up the mushrooms.

I love fall in the NW with the abundance of shrooms mixed in with all the greens. Lovely capture. Are they edible?
Nice photo of the mushrooms.
This is a beautiful photo. Thank you for sharing it with Today's Flowers.
I find them cute! :) have the same question with Gaelyn, can they be eaten?
My world entry is up here.
I have a few of the larger size mushrooms in my yard right now from all the rain we have had. I'm posting a picture of one tomorrow I think.
These mushrooms are lovely and so clean looking!
