Lightning Storm

Yesterday, a pretty large thunderstorm pushed in from the south, bringing in heavy wind, lightning and rain. It was pretty intense for a bit, and was actually fairly easy to get the above shot. It was my favorite of about 5 lightning pictures I was able to take with my point and shoot camera. When the lightning is going off as rapidly as it was, it makes it slightly easier to get a keeper! Just keep it pointed towards the sky!

Watching the Weather

I still has not really "rained", although it keeps threatening to. There is pretty high humidity, especially for here in Oregon. I wish it would just rain and get it over with so we can get back to the nice weather. Especially considering my pending OUTDOOR wedding ceremony in a few days! Looking at the forecast, it should be just right then tho ;)

Clouds coming in

The weather in our area has been BEAUTIFUL lately. It actually has been breaking records! It has been the longest stretch of sunny weather in years! But yesterday the clouds started rolling in. There were thunderstorms and lightning hit some local transformers, making power flicker on and off thru the late afternoon. Today is similar. Very warm and humid.
