Finally Cooling Down

The hot weather lately does create great, clear skies and sunsets!

Today it finally seems like it is cooling down. The temps have been over 100 for 4+ days now, which is highly unusual. Today so far is cloudy and cool. I am glad. I am moving this weekend and do not wish to do so in the heat we have been having lately!!!

This cute little guy was spotted scurrying across the hot rocks in search of a shady hole. I dont blame him! Today it is finally supposed to be cooling down... to 98ish!

Veda Lake

With all the very hot weather we have been having in our area (today is supposed to reach 104 degrees, VERY unusual for this part of Oregon), and with how busy our lives have been in the past few weeks, I crave just getting away from it all. This is my favorite place to escape. Veda Lake is a secluded lake surrounded by the Mt Hood National Forest. It takes a hike to get there, but the private, quiet, serene payoff is well worth it.

HOT weather heading our way

The weather is supposed to reach the 103 degree mark by Wednesday this week. Yesterday I went rafting. I think it is something I will want to do again later in the week if I can!!!
