Todays Lensday topic is cat. My cat, Kitty Witty, has been gone for over a year now. I will always remember her wicked cool eyes. :)

Leaves looking a bit yellow along the river

This is the Salmon River, up on Mt Hood. Along the banks, the trees leaves are looking a bit yellowish. Up in the foothills behind, you can see a few trees that have already taken on their autumn look. Of course, up on the mountain, the temperatures are a bit cooler, so things tend to change earlier than down here near Gresham and Portland. We still have a bit of time before we start to look so autumn-y.

Moist Mornings = Mushrooms
Near my little garden I noticed a cluster of these small white button mushrooms. Every morning, the clouds and mist keep things very moist, just enough for the mushrooms to grow. By noon or so, the clouds have burned off and we have blue skies, but its not really warm enough to dry up the mushrooms.
