With the rain comes the slimy things!

Actually, the rain has subsided today. But the this little guy is diggin' the damp, early fall conditions!

Last of the sunny camping days

As I layed in the hammock at our campsite this past weekend, looking up through these trees at the blue sky and the sun shining, I knew it was coming to an end. I was right. Since this picture was taken last Sunday, it has been raining every day. Not DUMPING rain (as it will soon), but its not the clear blue skies we had to enjoy last weekend.

Late Blooming Marigold

This marigold is left over from the centerpieces of our wedding reception. They are still blooming, despite the cooler temperatures and wet weather. I took this yesterday between sprinkles.

Clear Lake dam vent

I was sick yesterday, so I have been slacking on my blog posting...



I am not sure how this thing works. Its an intake vent for the dam. My brother in law tried to explain it to me, but I was too busy taking pictures. It is pretty cool looking though. You are just boating across the lake, and in the distance you can see a dark square. Once you get closer you can see it under the clear water. The top sits about 3 feet under the surface.

Just got back from a wonderful, relaxing weekend with the family at Clear Lake on Mt Hood. This week will be pictures from the trip. This is the first, of my husband and brother in law on the lake heading out on the boat to go fishing. Back to the real world...
