Heading over the mountain on the way to Thanksgiving at my Dads, we made a quick pit stop in Welches at the Hoodland Thriftway. They had put up their Christmas lights, which shone through the dawn light. The mountain silohuetted in the distance is Huckleberry Mountain, which is a foothill on the southwest side of Mt Hood. It is also the mountain I grew up on!
On another note, today is the Civil War for the Rose Bowl between the OREGON STATE BEAVERS and the oregon ducks.

Before heading out for camping this past weekend, we went to my Dads house in Prineville (Central Oregon) for Thanksgiving. This was taken at dawn at the roadside stop along the Deschutes River in Warm Springs, OR.

I'm back from a long weekend of camping. We stayed in Jones Canyon, which is in central Oregon off the Deschutes River. It was fairly chilly the whole time, and occasionally raining. But when the sky opened up and the sun came out, the area was so beautiful it made you forget. This week (and perhaps a part of next), I will be posting pictures from our trip.
