Almost every time you go outside, you can hear the distant honking of a group of geese. Look up and you see their triangle formation as they head south towards warmer weather.

After our cold, icy weather lately, rain is a welcome sight. It means there is significant cloud cover and that the temperatures are staying warmer than they have been. In the past 24 hours, and looking forward for the next few days, we are getting about an inch of rain per day here in our area.

Saturday night was quite the weather adventure. Reports had been predicting snow and ice for the whole week, but nothing had come of it. My husband and I went to a friends for dinner and ended up getting stranded there overnight. The frozen rain coated everything and made it impossible to drive. The next morning we woke up and someone had hit my husbands truck, which had been parked on the street. Not a good way to wake up. But at least noone was hurt. Luckily the ice is all gone now and the temperatures are suppose to raise this week. In the meantime though, its off to get his truck repaired :(
