Sheryl has a wonderful daily blog of Astoria, OR. However, it is one of my FAVORITE places to visit, so I thought I would use its beautiful cityscape as my picture today. This was actually taken from the top of the Astoria Column, looking down on the town. I like that it prominently features one of my favorite parts of Astoria, the 4 mile long Astoria-Megler Bridge. It spans the mouth of the Columbia River from Oregon to Washington.

Sheryl has a wonderful daily blog of Astoria, OR. However, it is one of my FAVORITE places to visit, so I thought I would use its beautiful cityscape as my picture today. This was actually taken from the top of the Astoria Column, looking down on the town. I like that it prominently features one of my favorite parts of Astoria, the 4 mile long Astoria-Megler Bridge. A good day for bridges
I like any photo that reminds me of good times with my parents. The first time we visited the column was on a camping trip with them. My dad loved everything about Lewis and Clark so we visited Fort Clatsop on the trip as well.
Fantastic photograph! I had the great pleasure of driving down the coast of Oregon last October, my first time in your state. Breathtaking scenery all the way down.
That is just lovely! How I would love to visit that area sometime soon.

Beautiful! You had the perfect perch to take this great landscape photo. I'm hoping to visit the coastal area on my next visit to Portland, so I'll check out Astoria on the map.

That does look like a wonderful place. It reminds me a little bit of Vancouver, seen from that angle, but it looks like a much smaller town. Maybe I'll get to visit and see for myself, some day?
