Erosion

Todays picture is simple, but I think its pretty cool. The tide was going out, and the waves were taking out sand, leaving these ripples in the sand. It was like the beach was melting away ... a fast forward on the usually slow erosion that the waves cause!

  2. Not just cool, but wonderful! What a great choice for the letter, "E"! I love the undulating patterns in the sand caused by the tidal currents.

  5. Love the textured perspective of this shot. The ocean is in a constant state of eroding the beach and planting it some where else.

  12. Very nice - I do love the pattern that water ripples make on beaches, and that long, low shot is very effective!

  15. I've always loved the ripples in the sand left by the tide, and I can still remember the surprise I felt the first time I walked on them and found them so hard underfoot.
