Overnight Frost Advisory

Yes, folks, you read that correctly. We had a FROST ADVISORY last night in the Portland metro area! People were in a slight panic (including myself!), concerned about our newly planted gardens. I went straight home and covered my raised beds with tarps to protect the new plants I had just planted last weekend, when it was sunny and warm and, you know, May-like! Forecasts show that things should be back to normal and temperatures raising to average going forward. Which is good, because outlying areas, such as Sandy or Welches, got actual snow yesterday and last night too! That will need to melt off! Crazy!

I'm thinking it won't be "safe" to garden until June.

Beautiful shot of the frosty leaves, but in May? The weather is a bit strange in my neck of the wood too..
