Yes, folks, you read that correctly. We had a FROST ADVISORY last night in the Portland metro area! People were in a slight panic (including myself!), concerned about our newly planted gardens. I went straight home and covered my raised beds with tarps to protect the new plants I had just planted last weekend, when it was sunny and warm and, you know, May-like! Forecasts show that things should be back to normal and temperatures raising to average going forward. Which is good, because outlying areas, such as Sandy or Welches, got actual snow yesterday and last night too! That will need to melt off! Crazy!Thursday, May 6, 2010

ohh i love frosty leaves, this is a great photo!
I'm thinking it won't be "safe" to garden until June.
How pretty! Nature's touch is so special.
excellent and beautiful capture. great details! you should definitely head down to Silver Falls soon, cool temps, few people, lush foliage and lots of water.
That's really beautiful how the ice forms. Nice close up!
Beautiful shot of the frosty leaves, but in May? The weather is a bit strange in my neck of the wood too..
Leaves with Frost ~~ great subject for pics but maybe not for May! Great capture!
