Salamanders

Is it just me, or does it look like this little salamander is checking me out, the same as I am checking him out? Trillium Lake has tons of these cute little guys. My husband hates them. When he is fishing with worms, he often catches them on his line. But I always insist he is nice to them and gently frees them ;)

He's posing for the camera! Nice shot. It almost looks as if he's frozen or fake! Enjoy the day.

While like your husband, I am not a fan of these creatures, I do have to say this is a fantastic capture. Well done

Very cute, I'm sure he's posing for you. Like the dragon fly that I put on my blog today. I used to catch salamanders when I was a kid, we always let them go, though.

He just popped up to say "Happy Anniversary" and I echo his sentiment. Happiness always. MB

We had one that lived in the pump pit on my parents' property when I was a kid. My dad caught it for me and I kept him for a couple of days but he wouldn't eat anything so we let him go.

It's funny when I was a kid living in Oregon, we use to flip over logs to look for them, so we could play with them. We always put them back where we found them. It's amazing how many different types there are.
