Hovering Clouds over the Ocean

One last beach photo from last weekends camping trip. The entire weekend, there was a thick layer of clouds hovering out over the ocean. They never did make it to shore though. The weather was warm and clear! In this photo you can see the transition from the cloud layer to the bright blue skies. The crane in the distance was parked on the jetty, doing some reinforcement work.

This weekend, I am traveling to my old stomping grounds!!! I am going to go up the Salmon River on Mt Hood, literally a couple miles from where I lived. I hope to have some woodsey forest photos to share :)

It's always funny watching those cloud layers that just sit on the horizon, like that! The rock formation of the large island is very unusual!

I have enjoyed your beach photos. My grandparents lived in Rockaway when I was a girl and we would drive by Garibaldi every time we visited... I recognized your ocean rocks and tide pools photo; lovely.

Wow, that must be some sort of ancient sea monster!

I love when that fog layer stands off the coast. We were in Bodega Bay one time, on the cliffs, to try and watch the whale migration. What we watched instead was the bank of fog roll towards us at surprising speed, engulfing the entire cliff within about 10 minutes.

Have a great weekend!

That's threatening presence of modernity in the background agast tranquil nature.
