Salmon River

When the sun went behind the mountains, it was a good time to try to get a photograph of Salmon River. The water was cool and felt good on bare feet. There were wildflowers growing on the mossy rocks on the opposite side. And occasionally a fish would jump. Perfect :)

On another note, I thought this article was cute. About a family visiting Oregon for the first time. A nice way to pass some time and read about the areas I love and the state I am lucky enough to live in.

so peaceful looking - makes me want to build a little hobbit house on its edge and stay a season or two

How beautiful! And peaceful too. How did you get that killer 'feathery' effect with the water?

What a great place to be with the weather we've been having! Looks refreshing.

Outstanding photo! I can see this so clearly in my mind having lived in Oregon and it makes me so wistful! One of my great delights was to hop in the car on a Saturday or Sunday and spend it sightseeing. You can never be disappointed. I did read the article you posted and wow it brought back great memories as well as emotion.
Thanks for a great share! :)

That would be such a cool place, in both senses of the word! And wading in a cool river would be so relaxing just now...
