Yellow (and purple!)

The poor gardens in our area are struggling along. The rain and clouds are not promoting growth, so some plants are a bit behind. These iris only recently opened. There are quite a few varieties in our neighborhood. I like these best, with the bold yellow centers and the dark purple. Forecast says its supposed to be 90 by the end of this week. We will see ;)

wow, so you really haven't had Spring yet?
It has been so hot here without much rain so most people's yards are burnt from the sun!

Fantastic close up of an iris! When mine bloom, it is during the windy season, so it is difficult to get anything in focus as everything is blowing around when I am taking photos.
Love it! Yes!

So beautiful. You have really gotten beautiful detail.
I will give you some of our 100 degree weather. Its suppose to cool down to 87 by tomorrow. the Delta breeze kicks in and makes everything nice and comfortable. Then our AC doesn't have to kick on all the time.

Would love to have a rhizome from that iris. Gorgeous color combo.

What a gorgeous, close-up capture! Such a lovely flower, I love irises! And the color of this one is wonderful! Hope you get some summer weather soon! It looks as though it has finally arrived in Seattle as of today! Have a great week!

Beautiful close-up shot. We're wating for summer temps here, too. Our May gray and June gloom have decided to stick around a bit longer than normal.

That photo is fabulous! Yowza! We're droughting in the NE too. And this heatwave is killing us. Hope your clouds burst open soon.
