Last weekend I went out stargazing/meteor watching with my mom at a spot out in the country we know of. While we waited for the sky to get dark and the stars to come out, there was this beautiful sunset. I am glad that I got this photo, because shortly after this was taken, the moon actually went down!!!

Beautiful End of the Day
Last weekend I went out stargazing/meteor watching with my mom at a spot out in the country we know of. While we waited for the sky to get dark and the stars to come out, there was this beautiful sunset. I am glad that I got this photo, because shortly after this was taken, the moon actually went down!!!

Simply charming photo. Was that the night we were supposed to get meteor showers? Well, somebody here couldn't stay awake long enough to know whether or not we got them.

Beautiful photo with that moon shot! I missed the showers and I normally love watching them. Fell asleep!

I also went to see the Perseids this year & it was awesome, wasn't it?
I love the sky colours and moon's glow. When we were camping on the shore of Skagit River while kayaking we saw it through the trees. At first we thought it was a cabin hidden nearby, but watched it slowly disappear. - Margy
Gorgeous capture! Love the moon! I've been trying to get a decent shot of the moon this week and have gotten a couple of interesting ones, but this one is superb along with the colors and the trees silhouetted against the sky! Hope you have a lovely weekend!
