Dragonflies = Good Luck?

I had last Friday off and my husband and I took a trip up to our favorite lake to soak in the sun and do some fishing. This gorgeous dragonfly landed a few times on my husbands fishing rod. Is this good luck??? Couldnt hurt, I say. He did catch two small fish shortly after this photo was taken!

  7. Delightful closeup of the dragonfly. If landing on the pole was a charm, I guess it worked since 2 fish were caught.

  15. A great capture for sure! I think dragonflies are attracted to skinny landing places like cattails. We've erected some bamboo sticks in the garden for them to land on and they do!

  18. It was good luck, because it enabled you to take this super photograph. I love all the brown lines in the photo and how their solidity contrasts with the fragility of the dragon fly. Very pleasing to look at.
