I had last Friday off and my husband and I took a trip up to our favorite lake to soak in the sun and do some fishing. This gorgeous dragonfly landed a few times on my husbands fishing rod. Is this good luck??? Couldnt hurt, I say. He did catch two small fish shortly after this photo was taken!

You're right, couldn't hurt to get a little help from the dragonfly!! And what a terrific shot! Love the colors! Hope your week is off to a great start!

Nice to see another Oregonian out and about here! I think you needed a bigger dragonfly. :-) Thanks for sharing!
You're lucky enough to captured Dragonfly for this week's team! Have a delightful day!
What a Delightful catch of the Dragonfly. They are quite the beauties, in the bug world.
a very nice capture :) :D
i don't know if they're good luck or not..
but i don't mind the luck if it is good :)
what a wonderful picture of this dragon-fly
Delightful closeup of the dragonfly. If landing on the pole was a charm, I guess it worked since 2 fish were caught.
that's a terrific shot. the dragonfly was giving you guys a heads up that a fish was swimming your way.:p
What a beautiful picture!!
Love the Drangonfly especially the transparent wings...beauty!!
You can actually see the patterns on it...
Terrific Capture!!
Have a great week ahead!!
What a great shot!! I was following some around my yard a few weeks ago but they never landed when I was close enough to shoot them. With the camera of course. ;p
Beautiful shot of the dragonfly and it was good luck to have such a perfect shot for the letter D.
Fantastic capture. The clarity is amazing.
Great shot! And what a lucky dragonfly...er lucky fisherman! lol
Great macro shot!!
ABC Wednesday~D
I always thought it was good luck to get visited by them! What a lovely capture! Hope the fish was a good catch too!
A great capture for sure! I think dragonflies are attracted to skinny landing places like cattails. We've erected some bamboo sticks in the garden for them to land on and they do!
Fantastic shot, it's beautiful and big dragonfly. Nice choice for D day..
it's surreal ... perfectly captured can even see its sections ...
My ABC Wed here
It was good luck, because it enabled you to take this super photograph. I love all the brown lines in the photo and how their solidity contrasts with the fragility of the dragon fly. Very pleasing to look at.
When fishing, I like every little bit of luck that might fly in! Great shot!!
What a beautiful capture.. Good Luck for sure!!
Gosh you were quick off the mark to capture such a beautiful example of nature's loveliness and marvel!

ooooh I love that! I'm linking up late this week!
Great Photo! My granddaughter and I went for a walk and saw some dragonflies that were big enough to challenge a humming bird.
