Japanese Gardens

I'm posting this picture of the Portland Japanese Gardens today for a couple of reasons. Number one, as sort of a wish. I really would like to go there this autumn and do some photography of the changing leaves. Its such a gorgeous place year round, but with the splashes of red, orange and yellow, I can imagine it would be even more so. Secondly, this little footbridge makes me think we need these all over the Portland Metro area for the next 6 months or so, during the rainy season. The ground becomes a standing lake in many areas, and these elevated walkways would be so helpful!

I'm looking forward to the changing colors too. That would be a clever and artistic way to ignore the rain. Nice post as always.

I've always wanted to visit the Japanese gardens out at UBC, and now you've put it in my mind to actually go...your photo is lovely!

Beautiful in its simplicity.

Elevated, and covered, might be nice as the rains arrive. Although that looks a nice place, rain or shine.

It looks delightful - must be an enjoyable place to hang out - and look!

Oooh Nice!! Hope you make it there! I'm going to Victoria next month but alas, no time to visit Butchart Gardens.
