I love kayaking. Its so fun, being out on the water alone. And its a versitile form of play. You can take it on anything from rivers to lakes, down rapids or just floating carelessly along like is pictured. Photo was taken off Little Fan, Collowash River.

What a serene scene! I have always wanted to learn to kayak but I'm terrified of flipping over or getting my camera wet. I almost tried it on Lake Quinault, a very calm body of water, but I chickened out. You could rent canoes from the Lodge there.
I'm with you, kayaking is a blast and affords the opportunity to see many critters and parts of nature not usually seen. Enjoy!
I am not a water person, probably because I was a country girl and no water around to swim in, therefore, I never learned to swim. But, I must admit it sure looks like fun.

My youngest son's favorite occupation in Idaho! Come to think of it, I have a great photo of him doing it, that I could have used for 'K' day.
