About a month ago, one of my two sunflowers bloomed. The plant itself was at least 8 ft tall. It didnt take it long for the flower to become too heavy to be held upright by the stalk, so it now droops. I am waiting for it to dry completely and the seeds to form. I think that it is still pretty, even in its drying out, droopy form ;)

Beautiful flower! I have thought about planting some, but I fear that my doggies would trample them or dig them out.
PS Does the same plant bloom each year or do they have to be replanted?
