RIP Tree

Today people are coming to take down the 50+ year old tree that lives in my front yard. The city contacted my landlord and told her she needed to take down the tree because its roots are disrupting the sidewalk that goes in front of our house. Its rather sad. In its place the landlord will plant a new tree. :(

Oh my! Such a beautiful tree and hard for me to understand that in some areas one cannot touch a tree because of ordinances, yet this one must come down. :( I can never figure out this state. ;)

...that's really so sad.... trees, like humans, have spirits too.... they shouldn't be treated that way... and you should have take some actions... i am very much in love with nature and i just hate seein' and readin' things like this... very rude....i'm sorry... i'm very much affected... look at that tree... isn't he amazing having reach that long and tall and handsome??? :(

That is very sad, though at least the landlord has sense enough to plant a new sapling.

This is so sad, yet there is hope for the future. Across the street from us a delivery truck backed into one of the four matching trees in front of that apartment building--ruined the tree. It was sawed off at the street and eventually dug out. Finally another one was planted in its place. It didn't change colors with the rest of them this year. We'll see next year.
