Taken a few weeks ago on our trip to Central Oregon, the ground is frozen solid in this photo. Everything is very still. There is a very light dusting of dry, flaky snow on the ground. Mt Hood can barely be seen in the distance, peeking out from under the dark, thick cloud covered sky.

That speaks volumes with the many natural layers in the setting. Gorgeous photo!

It amazes me how Eastern WA & OR are so arid and high desert-like, while the western parts of our states are so lush. Sometimes I think they should split both states right down the Cascades into Western WA & OR and Eastern WA & OR.
Bellissimo luogo :))
Buona serata :)

There is a lot of beautiful scenery and skies in your part of the world.
the scenery does look almost barren in this view.
