It is the end of mushroom season. It is getting way too cold for them to survive, and it actually has been quite dry for about a week now. But this picture is one of my favorites, and went well with ABC Wednesdays "U" theme today. I had never seen a mushroom like this one, and have not since.

Beautiful shot! It's so easy to walk right by mushrooms and not notice them. They try to blend in too well.
