Storm on its way

The forecast is saying tons of rain, wind and even a chance of freezing rain in the Columbia River Gorge. The tiny bit of blue sky in this picture is probably less than we will be seeing. Thats it... I am leaving town!! Tomorrow, my husband and I are going to go to Salem for the night. At least there it wont be as windy!

White River Falls

In November we went to central Oregon and visited the White River Falls, outside of Tygh Valley. Sort of off the beaten path, the falls are the center of a very small state park. Blink and you will miss it. Worth the short walk into the park (it was closed due to it being off season).

Yellow

About a week and a half ago, we got snow here in the Portland area. That was the first and only snow so far this year. Much different that the past two years, when by now there was much more snowfall. I am not complaining, but this boring, rainy weather doesnt make for very interesting picture taking opportunities. SO I am forced to post something a little older while I wait for new opps to come! This yellow fire hydrant was almost buried last year by the accumulation.
