Rainbow chasing

Yesterday, as I was getting off work, it was just perfect weather for rainbows. Just barely drizzling, but the sun was breaking through in places. I literally went rainbow chasing when I saw one off in the distance. I didnt catch it anywhere spectacular, but did get a shot of it at its brightest here. Have a wonderful weekend.

And for any Lost fans out there who are anxiously awaiting the series finale this weekend (like me), It's better to have loved and LOST than never to have LOST at all ;)

Almost ironically, Theme Thursdays topic this week is pets. My dog Beaus 7th birthday was this week, so I thought it was approprate to take a day to post a bit more personally.

I have had Beau since he was 5 weeks old. He is easily my best friend, and is spoiled beyond what most dogs are used to. Living in our area, he gets to go on many trips to the beach, camping, digging in the snow, etc. He is a "grand-dog" to my husbands and my parents, a "nephew" to our siblings and all of our friends, and a playmate to all of their children.

Forest Creek

This picture is a very common site when hiking the trails around Mt Hood. The little creeks are all flowing at full force right now from all the snow melt.

Garden Reds

Its hard for me to resist posting pictures of some of my garden flowers. I love how everything looks after a rain or watering. Water droplets are so pretty to photograph.

Tennis Ball Colored Lichen

This little speck of lichen had me laughing. My brother dubbed it "Tennis Ball Lichen", from its bright yellow color.
