Best of 2011

Choosing just one photo to represent your entire years worth of photography is a huge challenge. Its not one I could ever do alone. This week I chose my top dozen favorites and posted them on my Facebook so my friends could help. I am so grateful for their responses. They helped me narrow down the choices and the above picture, taken in June, was my choice for my favorite photo of 2010. My friend Matt's comment summed up exactly why I love this photo "I love the way you stopped time with that picture". That is how I felt the first time I uploaded it to my computer and saw the unexpected result.

I tried hard to learn new techniques and improve my "eye" for taking photos this year. I hope you all have enjoyed the results. Thank you so much for your continued support of this blog. If it were not for the comments of my visitors and followers, I would have no audience. For this I am grateful and it keeps me motivated

Dripping Moss

It is the middle of the "soggy" season here in the northwest. If it is not raining, it looks like it might. Today there was actually some snowflakes mixed in with the rain! On the bright side, it does make all the greens very vibrant, and they will remain that way until autumn next year. Only 5+ months til summer!

Clackamas River X-ing

X again on ABC Wednesday. I am showing this X-ing (crossing) that spans across the Clackamas River. If you look close, in the middle, there is even an X in the beams! ;)

It's Finally Over!

The Christmas holiday is OVER!!! Dont mind my Bah-Humbug attitude, but I find the holidays stressful. Relaxing at home yesterday without a care was refreshing. However, it also means I was too lazy to get out with my camera, so I am still posting a few shots I took from last weeks adventures up the Clackamas River. The snow up there, luckily, only ventured down to our neck of the woods briefly last Sunday and was gone by the morning.
