The forecast doesnt look very nice for the next 24 hours here in the Portland metro area. My husband and I were coming home and commenting on the black clouds and the overall gloomy darkness of the day. As we pulled into our garage, the skies opened and it began to hail...sideways! It only lasted a few minutes, but is a sign of more to come as the temperatures drop overnight. My poor to-be-flowers ... :(

Cold Weather Begins?

it is amazing what spring bulbs can take, I have faith that they will survive the storm. Hoping much beauty awaits you
We got sent home from work at 12:30 b/c of the snow and it's still snowing off and on. Ugh.
I hope your flowers survive it all.
I haven't looked out since I got home, been glued to the TV and the Blazers/Lakers game. Hope your flowers make it through whatever ends up on the ground.
Is that a hyacinth braving the ice and snow?
A SEEKER OF WATER
A seeker of water, they say,
Is likely to savor the day,
If she can find dew,
A few raindrops too—
Or even some vast ocean spray!

My daughter lives in Northern Washington, it has been hailing/snowing there. She said the forecast calls for the coldest week of the whole winter to be this week.
Looks like you are getting that kind of weather, too. Stay warm! My sister lives in Corvallis, her and her hubby are in Mexico this week. Maybe you should have gone away, too!
Hugs, Cindy
I'm sure the bulbs will survive. We have had rain and storms tonight. I'm ready for summer and the heat.
Seattle received our late winter blast too, bulbs are up, it is still frigid today, current high is 31 degrees, but I'm sure we'll be back to soggy normal soon! My Best Regards, Madge
