An interesting view of the normally calm Salmon River. This particular hole is deep and usually slow moving, not a white ripple in sight. Perfect for fishing. But during the winter the river rises even higher and moves quite fast. The normally clear water becomes green from the glacial runoff on Mt Hood.Wednesday, February 2, 2011
Fast Moving Slow River

This photo really calls to my spirit!
Blessings and Wonderful Day to You!
That is about the greenest river I ever saw. I kinda like it and think it is pretty in that color.
BRRRRRRR Bet it's freakin FREEZIN too!
I'm particularly interested in the color of the mud along the banks of the river. It looks like the red earth in much of northern Arizona.
THE WATER PIPES ARE FREEZING
The water pipes are freezing,
I cannot get a drink;
The water pipes are freezing
Underneath the sink.
I wish some kindly plumber
Would come with flame and wrench,
So I could get some water
My raging thirst to quench!
