I have not been to the Oregon coast in months and months. I have been craving a trip over there for a long time now. On a previous visit I was walking along and spotted this tiny jellyfish in the sand. It was no larger than a quarter. I am very glad I saw it before I stepped on it!!!
(PS) If you are a Facebook User, I would appreciate you taking just a few moments to click over and vote "thumbs up" on my submission for a Portland Oregon Photography Project. Today is the last day they are accepting votes before selecting their top ten finalists!

Glad you didn't step on it either. Some of those tiny ones pack a pretty good wallop.
On my way over to the link now. Hope you win.
How fun! Two jellyfish in a row today!! Great post for the J Day! Love your photo!

happy for your eagle eye; difficult to see, I'd imagine!

The babies don't sting, so you were alright! Great shot!
Nice shot!
Yes, two jellyfish in a row! What a jolly good idea for our J week. Glad you didn't step on it or you would have had to pee on your foot! lol

Several years ago when I was at Daytona Beach in Florida there were hundreds of these little guys on the beach. You had to be very careful if you were walking barefoot because they really sting if you step on them.

It just doesn't look dangerous! Nice capture, to be sure!
Such an interesting beach find, fascinating creatures.
I have never seen a jellyfish as small as a quarter, except at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Very interesting J and so pretty too.
Please come and meet the J's in my Family, hope to see you around, thanks!
I never seen a baby Jelly Fish before, good thing you have a keen sharp eye to see this infant nearly blended in the sand.
This is fun, your the 3rd post I seen about Jelly Fish this evening. Enjoy your J post too.
When you find the time come on over and check out my J post too. Thanks.
Excellent jellyfish photo, but I really don't like these things!
My second bowl of jelly! Nice photo and I think I managed to vote in the competition.
As a kid I went walking on the beach, stepped on a jellyfish I didn't see, and have since not been a fan of the beach!
Such mean little creatures! But very interesting to see in person. Just don't touch!
enjoyed it.
well done J post.
