One Lone Trillium
There was one lone trillium bloomed on a recent hike up the mountain. By now there is probably more. Still a few months at least until Trillium Lake opens up. Right now it is under snow :(
Beautiful. That's one of the first flowers I learned about as a child. By the time the snow has melted enough to get near the trillium habitat, they have bloomed and gone.
How sweet! I don't think we have trillium's here, even though I know I've seen them somewhere. I think it was over at Ft. Hood. Beautiful, that Lone Ranger is...

another 'O' - the trillium is Ontario's provincial flower.
I was looking for signs of emerging trillium here in Ontario last Sunday afternoon. Nothing yet, so what a nice surprise to see on on your blog.

I love the way the 3 petals and leaves are all layered.
