Tricky Sky

Oregon is known for its crazy weather patterns. It can literally be sunny, snowy, rainy, hailing, lightning, etc. all in one afternoon, sometimes even in one hour. Sunday was one of those types of days.

I made myself get out of the house because I was so tired of being cooped up indoors. There were a few sunbreaks, after all, and I took advantage of one such break. I drove out into the country, first stopping at a small orchard I know of. The clouds above were dark and grey looking east, as pictured above. You can see that the ground has sun hitting it though. I expected to see a rainbow, but no such luck. I turned around to photograph one of the apple blossoms and as you can see in the below photo, the sky facing west was bright blue and clear.

Ah Oregon ;)

That is a good moment to take a photograph, lightwise.
When the weather is on the turn like that.
Makes it interesting as well. Do you get a lot of rainbows?

Well, at least you didn't have hail, or these blossoms would be battered to the ground.
Gorgeous blue western sky, and I love the blossoms!
