There was a lot of wild strawberry growing along the beach areas at Clear Lake last weekend. Since it is up in the mountains, the flowering plants are just a bit behind in their blooming cycle. The strawberries I have planted in my garden this year are already growing small baby berries!

I do love strawberries! I'll bet those in the mountain are extra sweet.
Oh, but there's nothing like the taste of a tiny wild strawberry!
Beautiful blossoms.
