Seems as though the weather has finally made a turn for the better here. While the rest of the country has been suffering through hot, miserable heat waves, we were suffering from rain. Now a typical day is in the high 70's to mid 80's. Sunday was a beautiful day. Got in the car and took a drive up to one of my favorite places, the Collowash River. The water is crystal clear and cold here, but on a hot day, it could not be any more refreshing. I waded across this spot in the river and noticed that the rocks below my feet were a rainbow variety of colors.

Sounds like a delightful stop and the rocks are wonderfully colourful. I'd be tempted to put a few in my pocket; my window sill are lined with rocks and pebbles of various sizes.
Those rocks were a fabulous find--a rainbow indeed!

The stones are beautifully captured under the water and in such gorgeous light! I'm glad you are finally getting some summer weather.

Yes, I was visiting in OR in May - rain! However, I loved your lush state. Those rocks are amazing, and that is the green I remember.

Beautiful capture through the ripples of water. I keep all my little colorful beach pebbles in a big glass jar filled with water to enjoy them more fully.
I want to plunge my hands into the water and touch the colours!
