And So It Begins...

The east wind has been blowing like crazy lately (which is not helping the wildfires on Mt Hood or in The Dalles). I let my dog out a few mornings ago and the lawn was covered in the first batch of fallen leaves. NOOOOO!!! Too soon for autumn!!!!! I snapped this photo after watering my garden. Wish the leaf was damp from dew or a late summer rain shower instead. We need it to help with those fires!

This is Jeannett StG -my comment is not getting through, so I'll do it "anonymous" but I certainly am not:) Agreed too soon for Fall. But cooler weather would help with those fires!

I was unaware that Oregon was having low water conditions. I know that a big part of Texas, just west of where I lived last year, is burning. Here in California we experience those horrible Santa Anna fire storms :[

I hope that the fires end soon.

There are fires in BC, too. A bad year, so maybe an early autumn might not be a bad thing, if it brings rain.
We're going to have to sweep leaves off our deck this week. The dog is bringing in dead leaves, stuck all over her from lying on the grass.
