And The Winner Is....

It should be no surprise to anyone that follows this blog that my favorite place to vacation is Trillium Lake up on Mt Hood. In this photo you can catch a beginning glimpse of the infamous cloud cap that often forms over its summit.

I have many memories of this place, as I have been coming here since I was a child. My husband and I were married on its banks. I was there on its opening weekend this year and have been there at least a dozen times this summer. I can think of nowhere else I would rather be!

It is such a beautiful place! And what a terrific capture of Mt Hood and it's "cap"! Having lived in Portland for 15 years, this was always one of my favorite sights! Hope you have a great weekend! Happy SWF!

I do miss Mt. Rainier and it's cloud cap (lenticular clouds) very much.

I have never seen the top of Mt. Hood on all my travels through the area. I'ts always been shrouded in clouds and mist. Thank you.

That cap cloud is beautiful from a distance, but I sure wouldn't want to get near it with a small plane. I hate bumps! - Margy
