Taken last weekend. The skies were clear and blue, the wind was blowing and the air was cold!!! A common sighting -- you can see one of the barges making its slow journey up the Columbia River.

Thursday blogging, to me, is like a dead end road. I am never inspired. I do have three or four memes that I check into occasionally, but as of today 3 of my 4 Thursday photo memes are dead end roads as well. They havent posted in a week or two at least. One hasn't posted a new theme in over a month. So I guess they suffer from the Thursday blahs as well. Does anyone out there participate in a Thursday photo meme that I do not have posted in my links (in the right column)? Im looking for some late week inspiration! ;)
So I pulled this one out of my past few months photos. Taken on Thanksgiving Day actually... my brother and I were just a few miles outside of Maupin, OR when he got a flat tire. We pulled over here and he changed it. While I waited I wandered around in the freezing cold with my camera. The light dusting of snow made this old ranch road stand out.
Anyway, TGIF ... tomorrow!

I'm (mostly) back from the dead! Having the flu is not a fun way to start your new year. I was able to get out before the flu crippled me to my bed over the weekend and take this wintery photo of Multnomah Falls. I love it when the mist ices up the cliffs surrounding the 620 drop of water. Another plus - they block off the bridge so there are no pesky tourists blocking an otherwise pristine view!
