This old photo was taken a few years back at the Sandy Ridge Cemetary. Somehow it seemed appropriate for today. My husbands grandfather passed away on Saturday January 28th. Today we are attending his funeral service.
An interesting view of the normally calm Salmon River. This particular hole is deep and usually slow moving, not a white ripple in sight. Perfect for fishing. But during the winter the river rises even higher and moves quite fast. The normally clear water becomes green from the glacial runoff on Mt Hood.
Todays picture is a great depiction of the common forest "decor" right now. Dewy ferns, squishy wet moss and many mushrooms and bracket fungus.
