Against the Dark Sky

I had to race outside to get this photo of the cherry blossom tree in my husbands grandmothers front yard before the sky opened up and started to dump rain on me! Hoping that things are better today and tomorrow, because in a few hours I am heading to the Oregon Coast! I can't wait! Stay tuned next week for beach photos :)

Travel Ahead!!!

I am so excited. After MONTHS of waiting, a beach trip is planned! My husband and I and a group of friends are heading to the Oregon coast this weekend. Next week will be all coast photos. We will be staying in Neskowin. This is a picture I took last year of the beach just a short walk south of where we stay.

New Leaves

New leaves are showing up on most of the trees around the area. Spring is such a welcome sight!

Cherry Blossoms

The cherry blossom trees of the Portland Metro area are all in bloom. Its amazing to me that the delicate flowers are able to withstand the rain and wind that we have been experiencing lately!

Grape Hyacinth

Last summer, my mom was cleaning out her garden beds and dug up a bunch of little grape hyacinth bulbs. I took them and planted them along the walkway near my front door and this spring, they bloomed for the first time. They make such a cute and inviting blue border!
