This past weekend we had a beautiful blue moon. I really wish that the name blue moon was a descriptive one. How cool would it be to see an actual blue colored moon?
I wanted to get out early to photograph it as it came up, but I was unable to. I did catch it a bit later, behind a few whispy nighttime clouds.

Wouldn't an actual blue moon be amazing? your pic is still gorgeous though!
I googled 'blue moon' and the deal is that, if indeed anyone saw an actual blue moon, it was probably due to volcanic ash or other pollutant in the atmosphere...
