Interesting!
We did a short hike up Little Zig Zag River to Zig Zag Falls and were impressed by the intense water flow. I have no idea why there was so much water, since it is now very late summer. I took this shot a few years ago in August, and that amount of water flow is much more common!
I didn't notice until I got home and uploaded the photos from the hike onto my computer that the leaves were changing at the top of the falls, where the sun hits the maple leaves on a sunny day. Sigh. Autumn is coming so soon.

It's such a beautiful image! I've never been to the Mt. Hood area....can you believe it? Our youngest son and his fiancee' hiked one of the trails earlier this summer...until they lost the trail in the snow.

OMG, i didn't see this at once, i thought that newer one on top is all. This is a very good falls, oh how i want to have something like this just nearby. I can even consider Flood Falls sometimes.
