More Mushrooms

I have a serious addiction to photographing mushrooms. It manifested itself last autumn when I was pregnant. I could not get out as much as I liked, so I chose something I could find easily and mushrooms were plentiful on the easy trails I walked. I crave finding cute little communities of mushrooms, of finding varieties I have not photographed before. I love the colors, how delicate they are, and how fickle the growing season is. So bear with me as I post another ;)

I like the tones in this picture, and the use of depth of field.

Hi, my name is John and I am addicted to photographing mushrooms...also. I feel like I'm in a support group. :) Like you wrote I too enjoy the hunt and finding ones I've not seen or photographed before. If you check my entries on my blog from the 16, 17 and 19th of this month these are my findings so far this season. My next outing I plan to try focus stacking for the first time after a follower showed what it did for his mushroom/fungi photos. I can tell by the fronds (what I call them) of the moss that these little brown guys are really small. Great find and wonderful image.

I like seeing all your 'shrooms! Do you get down on the ground to take these pictures?

If i can see these mushrooms in wherever, i can't also resist shooting them. Yours are actually very colorful and so fresh, i've told you this earlier, i wonder why ours are mostly black, white and browns ONLY, as in only! haha. That is a spectacular shot.

I too love mushroom pics but have not been able to get down to their level for a while. Once my knee has recovered maybe I will be able to get back to it. Meanwhile, I will live vicariously through your wonderful photos.

have you discovered and photographed so far? It seems like photographing mushrooms is a fun and exciting hobby! You’ll always be left amazed whenever you see a new kind of mushroom, and there are lots of them in different sizes and colors. But what I love the most about them is that they make great ingredients to a recipe!
