Deep Dark Forest

I grew up in the forest, so the thought of the "deep dark forest" is actually quite homey to me. I love wandering through the woods alone, and coming across a place like this. A perfect woodsey scene -- The lichen clinging to the trees. The moss covered forest floor. Gorgeous, quite, serene.

Great photo! Nature truly is amazing. It can get so dark in these pacific north west forests it is surprising these plants survive. They make great photo objects, I know, because my in-laws live in WA ;)

Stopping by from Alphabe- Thursday - mine for letter 'D' @ ImagesByCW is about 'donner'

You are so right. I also like the woods. Taking a walk alone for some hours makes you feel like have been on holidays. Nice shot.

I thought of Oregon before I even read the title of this post.

Deep dark forest primeval. I can visualize the horses laden with warriors and weapons traversing this emerald dampness.

What a delightful link.

Thank you for sharing it.

A+
