With Wet Weather...
... comes mushrooms! And as you know if you read this blog, I am always on the lookout for a good mushroom find. This is a great one. Last year my Mom came across one of these Amanita mushrooms while out on a walk. I was not with her though, and missed out on the photograph opportunity. Coincidentally enough, this year, a huge patch of them grew right in her neighbors front yard! I could not resist getting out there in between rain showers to snap a few photos of the bright red toadstools-to-be. A great find!

Wow! These are amazing ~ they are real and so colorful for mushrooms ~ (A Creative Harbor) ^_^
Great shot! We call them Red Fly mushrooms. They look nice although they are a little poisonous.
looks pretty but not good to eat...such a fun posting...love all the wonderful pictures people are sharing this week. cheers
What an unusual mushroom. It almost doesn't look real!
I love these little red mushrooms. Nice pics!
I thought they were ceramic yard ornaments at first! ;)
I love the Aminita muscaia. My favorite fungi.
Very cool! Love all the detail you captured! :)
The colours are so vivid they do not look real. I have never seen a mushroom like this before. Red for danger!
I have yet to see one of these in the wild. My childhood story book had illustrations of wee fairies around them, so they still seem magical to me. Lovely, lovely.
