Deserted Walking Path

I discovered a fairly deserted walking path near my home, out on the edge of town where you enter the countryside. This is like gold to me. I love walking through nature alone with my camera and my thoughts (well, and these days, pushing a stroller with a sleeping baby inside of course!) The path is lined with these tiny daisies on both sides, which just adds to the appeal to me. I love daisies!

Balch Creek

Another shot of Balch Creek photo from my walk in Forest Park from a few weekends ago. The muddy water was from the recent rainfall, but so is all the great green colors! The weather has since turned to nice and sunny, but I am a rain lover and have to post these shots before moving on!

Zipping By Overhead

I came to the end of a nature trail I was walking on last week, which normally dead ends into the Sandy River. However, the river was so swollen with rainwater and snow melt that it had overtaken the forest banks. I was taking a photo of the high water and at the very moment I clicked my shutter, a small plane zipped by overhead in the sky.

Queen Annes Lace

I came across this interesting Queen Anne's Lace blooming in the woods on a recent walk. What I found interesting was the pink hue the flowers had. I don't know that I had ever seen that before!
