Peaking Out Of The Top

Last weekend when we visited Trillium Lake, a thick layer of clouds obstructed the view of the mountain, but above us the sky was clear and blue. I waited patiently while the clouds drifted by and caught the tip of Mt Hood peak up out of the top.

Drips and Drops

It is pretty obvious by viewing photos I post on this blog that I love capturing water drops. I find them fascinating, and much of the year they are abundant here in Oregon. This past couple of weeks have been very dry and hot though, and the drips are harder to come by. I took this one before the dry stretch started about a month ago, and thought I would post it as a reminder of what is to come. However, while I love my rain, I will enjoy the sunshine while it lasts. Summer goes by way to quickly in the Pacific Northwest!

Ladybug Pupa

A few weeks ago I posted this photo of a yellow ladybug that I had found on a walk. Since then, I have seen a few more. Last week I spotted this one while watering my garden (I accidentally sprayed him before he caught my eye, but no harm done), molting the last of his pupal skin to transform from a rather gross wormy looking thing to a cute ladybug!
