Orange You Glad It's Friday #7

Welcome to week seven of Orange You Glad It's Friday! The evenings and mornings are getting cooler around here, but the days are still sunny and warm. How about where you live?

I chose this amazing moon photo as the featured post from last week. It comes to us from Perry in Scio, which is only about a 2 hour drive from where I live. My husband has family that lives in the small town, and it is very fun to go visit during the Lamb and Wool Fest every year :)
Every Friday 12:01am PST, I will open the blog up for posts. Rules are simple. Post a picture that you have taken or piece of art you have created (or have permission to use) with a little or a lot of orange, share your link below, visit others and comment on their orange takes, leave a comment here if you wish.

Each week, I will feature a favorite submission from the previous week with a link to the participants blog.

PLEASE -- Be sure to include an Orange You Glad It's Friday Badge or link back to this blog in your post. To add a badge, just copy and paste the HTML code from below!

As always -- Spread the word!!! This is a new meme and the only way to get the word out is to share, share, share! :) You can also get updates and reminders of Orange You Glad It's Friday on Facebook!

Cloud Cap Dusk

I snapped this photo at dusk up at Cloud Cap Inn on the east side of Mt Hood. The trees are all barren from many years of wildfire that threatens the area. Last year there was a very bad fire that got pretty close to this area. Luckily, it was spared.

Base of Lancaster Falls

I posted about our hike last week to Lancaster Falls on the blog yesterday. I also took today's photo, this of just the water crashing down at the base of the falls. The autumn leaves were already starting to collect on the rocks.

Lancaster Falls

Last weekend we went on a hike up from Starvation Creek to Lancaster Falls, taking in two other waterfalls on the way. The waterfall seems small at first glance, but from the right angle, the large upper tier is visible through the trees.

Changing Leaves

Around the area, the colors are just starting to change. I liked the varieties in these aging leaves.
