Orange You Glad It's Friday #11

Welcome to week 11 of Orange You Glad It's Friday! Sorry for the delay for anyone that was here earlier than 3:45am PST. I scheduled the automatic posting wrong. My bad!

What is the weather like in your neck of the woods? As you can see in this past weeks posts on my blog, the rain is here to stay and probably will not subside much until early summer. It is ok though, I love Oregon and would not trade the rain for anything. It is the reason everything is so beautiful here!

I love this adorable photo of Jack, submitted by his mama from Jacks Paper Moon. I agree with her about enjoying the changing seasons a bit more with a little one, even though my little one is still just a baby. It is fun to get out there and show them the world, isn't it?

Every Friday 12:01am PST, I will open the blog up for posts. Rules are simple. Post a picture that you have taken or piece of art you have created (or have permission to use) with a little or a lot of orange, share your link below, visit others and comment on their orange takes, leave a comment here if you wish.

Each week, I will feature a favorite submission from the previous week with a link to the participants blog.

DON'T FORGET -- Be sure to include an Orange You Glad It's Friday Badge or link back to this blog in your post. To add a badge, just copy and paste the HTML code from below!

I appreciate everyone spreading the word about Orange Friday. See a great photo on another site that has a little or a lot of orange? Suggest they stop by and submit it here. This is still a young meme and I need your help to get participation :)

You can also get updates and reminders of Orange You Glad It's Friday on Facebook! Also, even if you do not have a blog, you are welcome to post photos uploaded to Facebook. Just enter the URL of the photo to Linky Tools below to join!

Swollen Sandy River

I cannot believe it is already November. Only two more months of the year left! Yikes!

The nonstop rainfall has made the rivers of the area high and fast. This is the Sandy River. You can see in the foreground, parts of the beach that is normally showing are sticking up out of the water a bit, and beyond the first layer of trees, a branch of water is flowing through what is normally dry land. Above the sky is thick with rainclouds, which are also hanging low into the trees.

The World In A Raindrop

Happy Halloween!! I am hoping the rain subsides a bit today so that the kids can all have a fun time trick or treating tonight!

Speaking of rain, it rained non-stop all last weekend. As a true Oregonian, however, I did not let this deter me from getting out and getting some photography time in. This photo was one of my favorites that I captured.

PS - my words and photos were featured on the Travel Oregon website today!

Mushrooms!

One of my favorite things about autumn is the mushrooms! I love the variety that comes up with the season. They are one of my very favorite things to photograph. I purchased a new macro lens on eBay and have not received it yet, but I will be sure to go out mushroom hunting when I finally get it in the mail!
