Orange You Glad It's Friday #12

Welcome to week 12 of Orange You Glad It's Friday! I apologize again for the delay in getting this post up last week. I am afraid some people were not able to participate, so I will do my best to make sure this does not happen again! Thanks for your patience with me :)

The leaves are past their prime in this area, but heading up Mt Hood, they are still hanging on the trees. How are things in your area? Still looking fresh and bright, or a little worn?

This question has already been answered by Al in his submission last week. I love how the sun hits these leaves. Gorgeous display of color!

Every Friday 12:01am PST, I will open the blog up for posts. Rules are simple. Post a picture that you have taken or piece of art you have created (or have permission to use) with a little or a lot of orange, share your link below, visit others and comment on their orange takes, leave a comment here if you wish.

Each week, I will feature a favorite submission from the previous week with a link to the participants blog.

DON'T FORGET -- Be sure to include an Orange You Glad It's Friday Badge or link back to this blog in your post. To add a badge, just copy and paste the HTML code from below!

I appreciate everyone spreading the word about Orange Friday. See a great photo on another site that has a little or a lot of orange? Suggest they stop by and submit it here. This is still a young meme and I need your help to get participation :)

You can also get updates and reminders of Orange You Glad It's Friday on Facebook! Also, even if you do not have a blog, you are welcome to post photos uploaded to Facebook. Just enter the URL of the photo to Linky Tools below to join!

Mushrooms and Lichen

Another macro taken with my new lens that I mentioned in yesterdays post. I was out in the woods looking for mushrooms, and there were surprisingly few to photograph. I think it has over-rained, and needed a warm day to help them come up. It was unusually warm on Sunday when I was out, so Monday was probably a different story when it came to finding mushrooms.

Since there are no flowers in my area right now, I will be submitting mushrooms to the "flower" memes and bloghops I participate in. I hope no one minds. They are the closest thing I can find at this time of year, and in my opinion, sometimes are just as beautiful!

Evergreen Water Beads

I won a new macro lens off eBay a few weeks ago and finally received it. So I went out this past weekend and tried it out for the first time. I am fairly happy with the results. Anything that helps me bring out the delicate details of nature that are often overlooked is a bonus in my book!

Quiet Path

It doesn't appear as though this path is walked very often, with the leaves fairly fresh and untrampled on the ground.

Autumn Wonderland

I was walking through the thick evergreen woods and came across this open area of maples, which was like stepping into another world.
