Orange You Glad It's Friday #14

Welcome to week 14 of Orange You Glad It's Friday!

I hope my American readers had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday! I spent time with my husbands side of the family. This was the first Thanksgiving for my son, and these upcoming holidays are going to be very exciting and special for us all. There was a lot of orange to be seen during the day, from the bouquet on the table, the many orange T-shirts worn by the proud Oregon State Beaver fans in our family (YAY BEAVS!) and the pumpkin pie for dessert, to name a few. Did you capture something to share this week?

This last week was a very difficult choice for me. I loved so many of the submissions. I finally chose to share this photo, brought to us from Lotta at Vid Vätterns strand. As anyone that follows my blog probably knows, I am a sucker for water droplets. I love the silouhette of the branches, the little world captured in the drop, and of course, the gorgeous colors in the sky behind! Thanks to everyone for submitting!

Every Friday 12:01am PST, I will open the blog up for posts. Rules are simple. Pink Clouds

On one of the clear days last week I was able to capture the intense pink clouds created by the sun setting behind me.

And to my American readers, a VERY Happy Thanksgiving to you! What are you thankful for this year? I have so much to be thankful for. This has been a year of many changes for me, and I could not be more grateful for it. I do not know what I would do without the support of my loving husband and family, and cannot imagine my life without my sweet son, who will turn 8 months old next week already!

Autumn Pool

The rain stopped for a few days at the end of last week, which was nice. But it returned over the weekend. The wet weather, combined with some pretty strong winds, stripped a good majority of the trees in our area of the remainder of their leaves. Only the maples are hanging on to their yellow leaves, and a very small amount of trees have yet to have even changed color!

Salmon 'Shroom

Can anyone help me identify this small mushroom? I had never seen this type before. I was out with my camera and almost stepped on these tiny little 'shrooms. I am so glad I didn't! Their pink "salmon" hue stood out enough for me to stumble over them and then proceed capture their photograph before continuing on my way.

Sunlight Caught In The Trees

Taken right before the sun went down, the leaves in this small grove of trees glowed in the late day sunlight.
